Hi everyone,
I've just downloaded some of the lovely doodle freebies .. and now i have no clue  on how to separate each design from the png. file. Also how do i work with them? I am working with Adobe Photoshop CS .. any help/instructions at all would be sooo much appreciated! Am so excited to play around with them!
Thank you!

1. Open the image that you want to place the doodle in.
2. Open the doodle .png
3. Have both windows visible. You don't have to do this but I like to see what is happening!
4. Use a selection tool to draw a marquee around the doodle. Then pick the move tool and place it inside the selection. At some point, the icon will have a teeny pair of scissors showing. When they show, drag the doodle from the .png to the image you want to place it in.

You can also use shortcut keys. Steps 1 and 2 are the same.
1. Use a selection tool to draw a marquee around the doodle. Press Ctrl-C (that is "copy")
2. Now go to the image where you want to place the doodle. Press Ctrl-V (that is "paste")
3. I believe if you press Shift-Ctrl-V instead of just Ctrl-V, it will paste the doodle in the exact middle but you would have to try it. I never want it in the middle so I never use this and am just going by (faulty) memory.

Hope this helps.

you can also make your extracted doodle into a brush. once you have what you want selected, use edit --> define brush

then go into your brush palette and use the drop down box and it will be in there

now you can use it in any color you want
Have fun!
