Many of you probably know this little trick about recoloring. When you want to recolor a paper or an element, you can do a "Control-U" while the layer is selected and you can move those sliders around to get it to be the hue that you want.
Well, if you take your color picker and pick the color you would like to recolor the image to and make it your foreground color first, when you do "Control-U' the Hue is automatically set to match that foreground color. You will probably have to adjust the other two sliders to get the right darkness and saturation, but at least your top slider is automatically in the right spot!
I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! :)

Great tip as always, Ange! I didn't get it to work until I checked the "Colorize" box, then it worked like a charm!
Here's another tip: I've subscribed to this forum so I get an email every time you send one out. Wouldn't want to miss even one! Then, I copy & paste the tip into a text document I created with Notepad named Ange's Tip Tuesday. It's filed in my Tutorials folder. Can't tell ya how many times I've gone back to check those out! :D

it is so simple isn't it, but it sure saves some time and headache when looking for a color.

I always wondered why when I clicked on "colorize" that it turned my element brown. It's not brown, I just have to adjust the lightness and staturation, but it gives me the right hue. Thanks Ange!

I've totally wondered how to do this, especially for all the new frames, but never took the time to figure it out. Now that I know I've used this trick so many times! :) Thanks for the tip!
