Tote

Materials Needed
two 8x8 layouts
three 3x8 strips of paper printed on heavy cardstock
Self-adhesive laminating sheets
¼ inch eyelets
hole punch
material for handle (plastic handle, rope, ribbon etc)
jump rings (if needed for handle)
material for lacing the tote together (cording, craft lace, fun fur)

Instructions
Make two 8x8 layouts using heavy cardstock. These layouts will be the front and back of your tote.

Cut three 3x8 strips out of a pattern paper printed on heavy cardstock. These will become the sides and bottom of the tote.

Using self-adhesive laminating sheets, laminate both your 8x8 layouts and all three of the 3x8 strips. When you cut out your pieces make sure to leave a ¼ inch margin on all four sides of each item.

Punch holes in the sides and bottoms only of both your 8x8 pieces and two of your 3x8 pieces (the ones which will be the sides). The remaining 3x8 piece you will punch holes all around.
*I found it easiest to print a template of how I want my holes to be punched. Then you can lay this template over each piece and punch the holes accordingly.

Punch two holes in the top of each of your 8x8 pieces. These will be the holes for your handles. If you are using pre-bought handles you need to set the holes according to their size. Set a ¼ inch eyelet in each hole.

Using craft lace, vinyl cording, fun fur or any other type of item you wish, begin lacing your bag together. I began with the bottom piece and laced each item to it. After the bottom was laced together I then laced the sides to the 8x8 layouts.

Attach your handles and you now have your own personal tote bag

I actually used a type of fun fur (not sure if that's the correct name, but that's what I call it) that I found in the yarn section of Wal Mart. They had a few different types there that would actually work. The only thing is the one I choose was a really thin so I doubled it and used it that way.
