I have always loved group heritage photos, especially the ones that were not professionally taken because they seem much more spontaneous and in “the olden days” it was most likely a very special occasion if a group photo was taken. If there is no date or information on the photo, I have always liked imagining what the occasion might have been. This week I’d like to see your group photos! The challenge is to do a layout with a photo of any group of three people or more and include some journaling regarding the occasion for your ancestral gathering. If you don’t know what the occasion was, why not give it your best guess. As always, “heritage” here at Scrap Artist is considered 1970’s or earlier.

I hope you’ll join me in the fun; I’d love to see your ancestral group photos! Please remember to post a link to your layout here so we can admire your work.

Here is my sample layout:

Great challenge, Erika :)
Is there a limit for a group photo? (I mean how many people have to be on a photo as a minimum ;) )

Hi Gabi,

I highlighted the section where it says group of three or more just so that it is less confusing. I can't wait to see your layout!

Can't wait for this one, Erika! I have a photo I have been dying to scrap so this is the perfect opportunity. I'm finally back home from my trip and back at my good ole PC (no more scrapping on the go with the laptop) and can't wait to try this one.

Oh and no worries, Gabi! All of us with kids totally get it.

I love this photo of three happy smiling women! Compared to others, mine seems to be rather minimalist in design, but it is all I seemed to want with this picture:
