Getting to Know You

I thought I'd throw this out as a way of getting to know you all a little better. This is nothing personal - just about our everyday life.
So I thought 4 questions would be a good start.....

1. What do you do by day? I am a Disability Support Worker. On my days off - I do housework or babysit my granddaughter. (But I keep the computer on, on those days lol).
2. What do you at night (apart from sleep :001_smile:)? I watch tv with my family with my laptop on my lap. I try to do my scrapping then. Sometimes I read (almost finished the Outlander series) but according to my DH, I spend more time sleeping upright!
3. What other jobs have you held in your life? I have been a secretary/receptionist, teacher's aide, personal trainer, hotel room cleaner, waitress/restaurant supervisor.... pretty varied.
4. What is your dream job? Ahh well, if you saw my Simply You wk 11 layout you'd know!! lol I want to be a wildlife photographer. Or a professional photographer. I don't care. Anyone got any spare talent to throw my way?? :tongue_smilie:

SAHM--and digital designer. :)

2. What do you at night (apart from sleep )?

Play on the computer. Watch TV. read. and sometimes clean

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?

teacher, working with handicapped people, florist

4. What is your dream job?

designing--and then if i REALLY dream big--photography! I am loving checking out all the photography blogs, and DREAM that I could take pictures like that!

SAHM right now

2. What do you at night (apart from sleep )?

Play on the computer, watch TV, read the books for my book club (currently reading Marley and Me).

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?

paralegal, worked in customer service at a local store during school.

4. What is your dream job?

I would love to work as an interior designer. I will definitely be pursuing this next year when Gracie is in school all day.

I´m a digital journalist, work with Content Management.

2. What do you at night (apart from sleep )?
Stay with my DH and kids, scrap and read. I´m a big fan of reading!

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?
I used to be a reporter on a big brazilian newspaper.

4. What is your dream job?
Have my own "digital studio" and make a living with Scrapbooking.

1. What do you do by day?
I'm SAHM so it means everything is going around the kids the whole day.

2. What do you at night (apart from sleep )?
Getting up to the screaming kids, lol. I wish I could sleep one full night!

shopping assistant, quality engineer in a metrology laboratory

4. What is your dream job?
that's what I still don't know, lol

1. What do you do by day?
On the days i'm off work i: get up with owen and we do our breakfast routine. Then he usually is off playing with his toys or his daddy while i get my school work done. Then we'll sit down round lunch time and watch a tv show or movie while we eat lunch. then it's nap time and after he gets up he is off playing by himself while i clean up and figure out dinner. then after dinner is bath time and he gets to play for an hour and it's bed time.

on my work days it's the same except for 5 hours i'm at work lol.

2. What do you at night (apart from sleep )?
I have insomnia, so i'm usually up really late. I'm eaither listening to music and scrapping or watching tv and scrapping or just scrapping. Chatting on yahoo as well as surfing the net.

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?
I've mainly held retail jobs. At K-mart and Toys R Us i was a cashier. Sears Essentials I was a cashier and helped switch the store from a K-mart to a Sears Essentials store.

4. What is your dream job?
that's what I still don't know, lol <-- i agree lol.

I'm a professional photographer

Sometimes I have photo shoots, but mainly I stay with my DD and DH. Watch TV, have friends over for game nights (we love board games), scrap

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?
I used to work as a PR for record companies... EMI, Virgin, Sony

4. What is your dream job?
I'm one of the lucky ones... I do what I love and have no intention to change, BUT a bit more money/clients would be nice...

Wow! I expected that we'd all be scrappers in there somewhere but I'm amazed at how similar a lot of us are with the things we do.

Ok, my turn:

1. What do you do by day?
SAHM. And I pursue my addiction (need I say which one?)

I hang out with my guys and go back to the computer at some point, LOL...

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?
I worked in personnel management, events, hotel sales, catering, then purchasing (for the government in Brazil, which is a pretty complex deal)

4. What is your dream job?
No more dream jobs. I gave up dream jobs when I found out that mine was too much work and no pay, no recognition. I just want a job that doesn't take all my available hours or my soul. Good pay would be nice too.

Part time Pharmacist ans SAHM

2. What do you at night (apart from sleep )?
Watch TV, scrap, get lost on the internet

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?
When I was at school I worked as a Doctor's receptionist.

4. What is your dream job?
To never have to work again, stay at home, take lots of photos and scrap ;)

I am a project manager at an internet development company.

Cook dinner, watch TV, scrap occasionally, play with my daughter...

I always worked with internet (kinda webdesigner, but not really), I do content as well. I was an English teacher in Brazil too.

4. What is your dream job?
I want to be a photographer! :)

I am a SAHM and child care provider...wanna-be designer and photographer! :)

2. What do you at night (apart from sleep )?

In the winter - design/scrapbook, computer time, TV or read a book
In the summer - I'm outside putzing around in the yard, gardening, etc.

I was a phlebotomist at our local hospital before DD #2 was born.

I work with preschool aged kiddos with special needs. Ages 3-5 and a wide range of disabilities. I work Monday-Friday and have a total of 75 students.

2. What do you at night?
Watch movies and TV, surf the net, scrap, occasionally work-out (eek, this needs to be more frequent), and play with my dog.

3. What other jobs have you held in your life?
Worked at a grocery store, lots of babysitting, worked as a student assistant in a computer lab, and lots of work with kiddos with special needs.

4. What is your dream job?
I really love my job...but it would be nice to only work part time and have the same pay!!!

I work as support to disabled/special needs people aged around 18-60. How do you find you find working with the younger children? As they generally have way more energy as well.
I find the work rewarding but very emotionally draining and wearing on myself. You?
