Hi All,
Dancingscrapper (AKA Erika) here standing in for happyrobyn and Fiddlette who are letting me get my feet wet here at SA with my first challenge! Woo Hoo! For this week’s heritage challenge I thought it would be fun to announce our ancestral claim to fame! Anyone famous in your family history? Why not toot your horn and make a layout of it.
For example, in my research and through DNA tests, my cousins and I have found that we are related to the Third President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson. His aunt, Judith Jefferson is my 7th great grandmother. That makes him my 1st cousin 8 times removed.
If you haven’t found anyone you are directly related to that is famous, how about an ancestor that had an encounter with a celebrity or historical figure? (i.e. My 3rd great grandfather worked on the railroad and was driving a train that was robbed by Jesse James, etc.)
Please post your heritage layouts in the heritage gallery and post us a link here so we can admire your work of genius! Remember, heritage is considered 1970's or before. Have fun!
