What are your plans for New Year's Eve?

We were supposed to go to SIL's place to celebrate with the in-laws but it seems that MIL has had one of her "emotional outbursts" and said that we should stop all the family gathering pretenses. They've been having "issues".
So, we've decided for our family to just stay home and celebrate, just us. We really do not want the kids to witness what "might" happen when the emotional fireworks erupt. :sad20:

How is everyone else celebrating? Or for those who are well into 2008, how did you celebrate? :sorcerer:

Dh and I are heading out the door any minute. A fancy dress, fun jewelry, reservations at a great restaurant and a night at one of our favorite hotels....... should be fun and I'll see you girls in 08:wave:

We are staying at home as well. We will watch a good movie, make some one-bite snacks, open a good wine :)

Rootbeer floats with the kids. We live on PST but celebrate with the kids on EST. :thumbup1: So they go to bed close to on time and dh and I stay up. LOL!!!

Nothing much going on here. It's not even 10pm and DH has already fallen asleep. i'm letting the kids stay up as long as they want. And I'm just about to scrap/organize my stash/hang out online.

We went to a wedding (it's a tradition in my friend's family to get married on December 31st! ;))! It was fun, we danced a lot, ate good food and drunk good champagne! :cheer2: :cheers2:

And we celebrated the New Year of course! :woohoo:
