I saw this the other day and I thought it was the coolest thing ever - and especially cool for us Digital Gals!

At Walmart you can now use a photo - and have it printed onto your gift card. I saw it in the Walmart ad last Sunday. They cost 88 cents... and they have a small little white strip on the very edge that says "Walmart/Sams Club gift card", but other than that you can have the whole rest of the front of the card for your image.

I checked at Walmart.com and yiou can order them from there as well.

The ad shows a sample image of a horizontal and vertical picture, and they look very cute! :)

So, if you are a "gift card giving person" (like myself :o ), it might be a fun way to personalize it a little more! :)

Thanks Ange! Maybe I'll get myself a gift card for Christmas, LOL!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing this!! Walmart is the only store in our town--so this will come in really handy!

Update on these cards...:(

I just had one made for my friend the other day... and I can't really recommend them. The colors were really really washed out (like a 20 year old print would look if it was set out in the sun for a few hours), and the image was even slightly blurry. There was a test print that they had run on photo paper that looked GREAT. The image was sharp, you could see the detail to it, the colors were bright, but the card itself didn't look so good.

I looked at their sample cards, and noticed that most of them were similar to that. Many of them were done in black and whtie (where a faded color won't show). So, if you do this, try to think black and white - and don't expect it to look bright and vibrant.

Just a heads up.

Ange

OH what a bummer :( I am sorry that they didn't turn out well. Thank you for posting this though because it just saved me from finding out the same thing.
