View Full Version : Grrrrr...Beware MSN Messenger and teenagers!
I am so goshdarned mad right now i could just spit nails. My stepson, yapping on MSN messenger yesterday while I was at my hair stylists inadvertently downloaded a trojan horse virus onto my computer. It has taken me all day to erradicate it with the help of a former co-worker (thanks John). He was messaging one of his friends, when a kodak photo popped up. His friend did not send it. It was too late by the time they figured out what was going on. Beware of accepting pictures on MSN Messenger, even if it seems they are coming from a legitimate source! Now, my Norton anti-virus has been configured to "allow" this wsoopscan and this other .exe file (zvncmqpjpaq.exe) full outbound access. I have no idea what these files are, even did a search....I have blocked them. What a pain in the rear! So much for scrapping today. If anyone has heard of these files or has had a similar problem, I'd love to hear from you. Thank God none of my data (or my precious photos or digi-scrapping files) have been affected. Keep your eyes peeled and be careful.:o10:

My dd dance instructors kids did the same thing. Her whole computer got affected and that is where she has all of the dance studio records. UGH!! Sorry you had to deal with that.

Yep my DD used my computer for a couple of weeks while hers was broken (as it always is grrrr) and I had to have the IT guy at work completely reformat mine. She is now BANNED from my work laptop :censored:
