My sister Erika, aka dancingscrapper, who is brand new to scrapbooking in general as well as digital scrapbooking, has really taken to scrapping heritage layouts, but with a twist! She loves to scrap heritage layouts in the altered/collage style. These layouts also come complete with uniquely personal and whimsical journaling as well. Take a look at these two layouts she recently scrapped here:

Your assignment this week is to use these layouts as inspiration and write a letter to an ancestor (as in layout number one) and scrap the page in the altered/collage style…alternatively, if you decide that the letter is too difficult a task, just write your personal feelings about going back in time to meet these people, (as in layout number two)…what questions would you ask, what would you want to learn from them, etc…and scrap it all in the whimsical and expression rich art of the altered/collage style….
I can’t wait to see everyone’s layouts! Post them in the altered/collage gallery and leave us the link here in this thread! Happy altering, gals! :)
