Welcome to another Tuesday challenge! I really enjoyed all of the yellow in the gallery last week. Thanks to everyone who participated. This week's challenge runs from today through Monday, 6/25/07.
Normally the name of the challenge gives it away. This one is a bit harder to decipher! So I'll explain it in simple terms. This is a heritage challenge. Photos need to be from the 1970's or before. This challenge requires 2 photos (although you can use the same photo twice if you want). One photo needs to be just a regular picture (rectangular or square) and the other photo needs to be silhouetted or cut out some unusual way. The rest of the layout is up to you. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Here's my example: Antoine and Caroline (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=45212)

Fantastic idea - love your inspiration layout!!!
I'll do my best to be unusual - but in all honesty, I'll just be so happy to get another one of these older photos scrapped - LOL! :)

Hi there
this is the long lost lady from south australia, sorry i havent been around last few months, i have been really busy chasing my husband's family history. About 450 miles from here is the town of Kapunda, where the family came to from Cornwall in 1847. Kevin has taken me down there twice since March and we have been overwhelmed with information, photos, gravesites, homes, business photos, etc that we have got from there. It has been truly amazing, and i havent finished, we are going back in Oct - the people at the school Kevin's grandfather went to in 1895, are having a reunion and they invited us to go back there, they actually said we were more local than they were as we have lots of relatives buried in the cemetery there!! An old man has showed us where they lived, died and so we have photos of that, where they worked in the copper mine there, it is unbelieveable. So i have had to collate all that so i know what i have got, and it has been a HUGE job. But i am getting organised and cant wait now to scrap the stuff i have found. I am also putting together info on Cornwall before they came out as well, so scrapping has played second fiddle lately!!!!
Sorry i am late with the yellow challenge, but i will put it up anyway. YELLOW, how hard was that!!!! LOL!!!

Tom & Helen (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=45516&cat=585)
Main pic is my Aunt Hon's wedding photo. Her mother died when she was 18 and she took care of her younger siblings and her niece (my grandmother) who lived with her and her father. She was reluctant to leave them but was in love with my Uncle Tommy. She finally married him in 1929 when she was 27 and he was 26. She changed her birth certificate so that it looked like she was 26 so people wouldn't know she was older than Tommy! LOL Funny lady!
Thanks for this wonderful challenge and all the inspiration!

Great challenge! I've been wanting to try cutting out an image & this gave me just the jumpstart I needed. I've been researching my family on ancestry.com & found the records from Ellis Island of when my great-grandfather came to the US, as well as a photo of the ship he came on. I love the internet!
