Short of scanning some in, does anyone have a PSCS, PSE or any other PS version tutorial for bows?

I have tried making a tied ribbon for my tags using the warp brushes but I cannot get the shadow effect done nicely and I have also been searching for a step by step tutorial that will be more specific!

I've never tried to make one, always heard the best way to get a realistic looking one it to scan it in. But I can do a little searching to see what I can find for you all.

Thanks Angie!!!
Ahhhh Realistic Bows, a digi-scrappers most sought after element (especially a life like not "computer generated look" bow). Yes it is almost impossible to create a "realistic" bow with software programs, lots of warping, hand shadowing and layer mask work. In the long run it is probably easiest to scan one in, even this is tricky as Bows are lumpy and most scanners will focus on the front of the bow leaving anything with depth out of focus. Plus it is tedious work to clean up unwanted background (at least for me as I am sooooo darn picky).
I have however taken on the task of scanning in a few bows and tied ribbons and have spent a few hours cleaning them up so they show up realistic on a layout. I will see what I can do about putting them up for download along with a tutorial on how to colorize them to match your layouts. Would this be worthwhile to do? Let me know.

Wow, I'd love a tut on how to color something beyond adjusting hue/sat. That is good for some things, but not everything recolors as you'd like by that method.

Well my scanner is broken so out of desperation I took a photo of a bow and used my mask function to clean it up and it did'nt come out to bad, I think and as far as recolorising them also not to bad. Should I maybe put up a picture of this also?

I would love to see it "chrismaris_mommy", be sure to post a link here once you have it uploaded. Good for you for taking a picture of a bow and using it on your pages.

I just uploaded a layout with a "scanned" in ribbon. I recolored the ribbon with the "color replacement tool" rather than adjusting "hue/saturation". This gives a better color match to other items in your layout if you are trying to co-ordinate. I am going to work on a tutorial on colorizing and will include the ribbon for you to test your "coloring" skills. Look for this over the next couple of days.
If you would like to have a peek at the layout click HERE (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=417&cat=500&ppuser=58)
