See THIS POST (http://scrapartist.typepad.com/the_hub/2007/06/welcome_to_twof.html) on the SA blog for more details.
You guessed it ... we're starting out with a digital swap! If you're like me, you spend a lot of time on your computer! So why not dress it up and make it cool? Show off your artwork. I've been shopping around for digital picture frames and they cost around $200+! But if you think about it, you already have a digital frame sitting right in front of you ... your computer! Isn't it time you used it to showcase your artwork?
All you need to do to play along is create a desktop image in the altered or collage style and email it to me and I will include it in the zip file I will distribute to all participants early next week. My email address is Robyn *at* ScrapArtist *dot* com. What size should you make it? Well, the size of your desktop, of course! LOL! Most of us with normal-size monitors are at 1024x768 pixels (72dpi). But some of you luckies may have a mega-monitor and your resolution is probably a bit larger. If you aren't sure how to check your resolution, pc users simply right-click on an empty space on your desktop and select "Properties" and then select "Settings" and look at your screen resolution. (Sorry ... I don't know how to do it on a Mac but I bet Google does!) After you get your work of art done, you can easily change your new image to your desktop wallpaper. And after the desktop swap, you can even set your desktop to change the image automatically every so often. Just do a quick search for "free desktop wallpaper changers."
*When designing your desktop wallpaper, be sure to leave some open space for your icons! And please post your artwork to the AlteredChallenge gallery.
