I have several albums that I did before becoming digital. Basically they consist of pictures cut into shapes and put on colored cardstock (sometimes I added stickers). I was looking through them the other day and had a strong urge to redo all of them (I don't have kids and so I don't have many pics to scrap and am always looking for more pages to do). How many of you have redone your old albums? What do people think about redoing old albums?

I've never redone any of my older albums (I have 17 of them in the cupboard). I have a couple that sound very much like yours but I figure I keep on taking photos and I'm still about 12 months behind on scrapping those, so I don't have the time to redo older stuff iykwim?
But hey, if I had the time I'd certainly contemplate it. ;)

Well, I only did a wee bit of paper scrapping before getting into digital, so I don't have much of that to contend with. But, I have redone some of my early digital pages - I've learned a lot since then LOL! I think it's a matter of personal choice - in some ways it's fun to look back at those old pages and see how far you've come, but it's always nice to have them consistent with your current style too. I guess, like Sue said, it's a matter of time and energy :)

I started paper scrapping when I was 13 and was WAY over zealous with patterned scissors and stickers. I cringe when I look at some of the ways I butchered my pictures with unneccessary cropping (imagine a picture about the size of a nickle, just a head cropped out with zig-zag scissors YIKES! ). I would really love to re-print the original sizes of those pictures and scan them in order to create something a lot more eye pleasing BUT then a little part of me loves them, even though they are by no means great quality, scrapbooking is like fashion, I mean I don't go back and crop out the clothes I wore at one time that aren't in style anymore, so in a way I'm just trying to relax and figure that my tastes in scrapping have changed, but in a small way it's fun to look back at what the styles were "back then". At the same time, if you have time I say go for it! I have a one year old so keeping up with her scrapbooks is a big job in itself so I really don't have the time to go back myself. GOOD LUCK!
I want to redo my kids albums, I plan to do 3 years at a time that way by the time they're 18 they'll only have 6 books instead of 18 - LOL. I also want to get all my old film photos put on CD's - no way am I scanning all those myself.

Even in the 6 months I've been paper scrapping, my style has changed so much that looking at some of my older stuff makes me shake my head! lol
And now that I'm putting together a shutterfly book about our dog... a lot of the LOs are old ones. I'm so tempted to redo them, but I won't... I like seeing how much I've progressed! The only thing I'm tweak (just a little bit) are the shadows... I started in PSE2 and couldn't mess with them... and the big ugly shadows really bug me... so I'll redo them, just not the actual LO!
