Hi everyone! After joining a few months ago, I finally posted my first layout yesterday. It looks like you ladies do some great challenges here so I'm hoping to join in on some of them. A little bit about me...I'm 27, from Michigan, happily married to my best friend, play hockey, love the outdoors, and think about scrapping more than I actually scrap.

So, my question (sorry if it's silly)...when people kindly comment on layouts, it is proper to post a note of thanks? Or would anyone even go back to see the thank you? Are there any other etiquette items I should be aware of?

Greta :)

Greta,

How sweet of you to even ask! People do go back and check, but I think it's fun to respond by giving them some love:love: in the gallery when you see the scrapping they've been doing.

FYI-Our challenges are posted on the blog every Monday, but we also have a Featured Product Challenge that is posted on Fridays. scrapartist.typepad.com

Welcome Greta! I was born in Michigan but have lived in Texas so long that I have become a native. LOL! But our fearless leader (Nancie Rowe-Janitz) is a fellow Michigander. You will love it here. Great inspiration and friendly ladies!

Thank you Tana and Robyn! I will definitely do my best to spread some love in the gallery. There are so many talented artists that I wish I had time to comment on them all. I am excited to be a part of such a great community. :)

Robyn, you must have adapted to the Texas heat after Michigan weather then huh? I don't think I could survive in hot weather.

Nice to meet you :) I live in Arizona now, but I'm originally from Michigan too - my parents still live in Grand Rapids. As for the praise thing - I agree with Tana that some return praise is always nice :) And, you can send people private messages too - I've gotten some thank yous that way as well.

Hi Lisa! There's quite the Michigan connection going on here. My husband and I were in Arizona for about a week in January on vacation, getting away from the cold and snow. We got back just before the crazy weather hit there (Phoenix, etc.).

Sounds like good timing :) I'm in Tucson and it hasn't been quite as bad here, but definitely a lot warmer than usual!
