That's right, last night I had to delete a few things to make room to save the layout I was working on - my nearly 200GB harddrive is full! I guess this means it's time to move some things to DVD LOL! I'm gonna get ACDSee this weekend and try to reorganize everything, but good grief I have a ton of scrapping stuff! My only consolation in this excess (besides looking through all that beautiful stuff of course) is that I'm probably not alone - right?
That happened to me too a few months ago. I could hardly believe it. I still need to clean out a LOT of my design stuff. But I just bought an EHD and moved lots of stuff over there. ROFL!!

I'm full, too! I know I NEED to move it to DVD's but I'm lazy and have been deleting as needed. LOL! And some of my really OLD layouts that are really terrible I have flettened and a flattened jpg takes up so much less room than a Photoshop layered file.
I'm holding out for a new computer. My DH says I have a long wait!

Well, I'm glad I'm not alone LOL! I did a little cleaning last night, but I have a long way to go. A new computer isn't in my immediate future either, so I'm gonna have to learn to use DVDs!

Oh, I am dreading that day.. LOL. I try and keep mine at about 30GB free by periodically deleting stuff. So far, so good...

Don't forget that your hard drive (external or otherwise) is never safe! Hard drives crash all the time. I just lost mine last week with about half of all my scrap data. I since signed up for Mozy (http://www.mozy.com/?ref=3f9a896b&kbid=16307) and I'm now backing it all up online so I don't have to burn it all to DVD. I burned my most valuable data (my images) to dvd, but the rest I'm putting up on Mozy. They allow unlimited storage for only $4.95 a month! I love it :)
Great info!! I have thought about doing that too!! saving some things online!

Archiving is one of my least favorite scrapping chores. . .kind of like dusting my house! It's not fun, but necessary!
