The Oscars!

Okay, so I only got to watch bits and pieces of it due to an Arizona basketball game, but what did everyone think? Any favorite nominated movies? I've barely seen any of them, but a lot looked good, so I think it's time to fill up the old Netflix cue :) And, I even thought Ellen was kind of funny and I usually don't like her much, so that was cool! I was glad Forest Whitaker won too - I didn't see that movie, but I've liked him in other things. What's your take? Did you watch? Were you hoping for anyone in particular?

I watched! And it was good! I loved Ellen, she was hilarious, and the bits with Will Farrell and Jack Black, and the part when Jerry Seinfeld presented were also really funny.

I haven't seen any of those movies, lol! I DO want to see the Queen though, I think Helen Mirren is a remarkable actress. So I was happy to see her win. She is also so pretty and feminine and just plain classy. It is wonderful to see an "older" actress be admired for her talent. (and her beauty...Will Farrell and Jack Black also included her in their song as someone they'd like to "take home" with them!)

I loved her dress too - I thought it was the best of the evening (followed closely by Penelope Cruise's) :) I missed the Will Ferrill thing and I'm really sad - it sounds like it was hilarious, I'm definitely going to have to find it somewhere online!

I haven't watched the Oscars, but, of course, I'm very happy that the German film won for best foreign film.

I've seen The Queen, it was a brilliant movie, Helen Mirren deserved to win.
