If, after you've created a selection in an image, deselected it, and made other edits, etc, you suddenly wish you had that selection back, "reselect" can help you! As long as you haven't made a new selection (since the one you want to retrieve), you can recall that last selection by going to Select>Reselect. It's a simple tip, but if you haven't been using it - it can be a nice extra help when working on layouts!
