Jan 29-Feb 11: Final Exam!

We have an announcement to make here at the Altered/Collage Challenge. Things are a-changin'! All challenges are moving over to the new and very cool Scrap Artist blog (http://www.scrapartist.typepad.com). This will now be the central point to find all of the challenges. After this week's challenge, the Altered/Collage Challenges will be posted monthly. We will be posting on the second Monday of every month on the blog. So we have decided to run this challenge for 2 weeks and then you will get a new, MORE DETAILED AND INVOLVED, challenge posted on February 12th. It is our hope that we can do some really cool things with this new monthly format. Perhaps we can even do some real-mail trading stuff!

With all that being said, we would love to hear your feedback on the new format once it gets going. To be honest with you, Christine and I were both resistant to the change at first but we realized that change is inevitable and in this case, we are going to give it a chance!! LOL!

Enough rambling ... on with the challenge! This is a 2-week challenge so take your time and create something cool. We have been posting these challenges every week for over a year so it's time for your final exam! We would like for you to incorporate several of the challenges we have posted over the last year into one super-cool piece of altered art. Have fun and please post your art in the Altered/Collage Gallery and give us a link here so we can admire your talent.

I'm sitting here pouting -- I guess I'm resistant to change, too. ;) But I do love showing up here every Monday morning to see what you and Christine have come up with for us.
That said, you know I'll be following you to the blog. I've put it on my feed list and am looking forward to the challenges to come.

Oh my! This is the first I read of the new blog. How did I miss that?

I stopped in to visit the blog already and am so glad that I did. I'd like to give the Princess Purse contest a go.

BTW -- Love your Altered Art project! I just started working through the challenges myself. So I'll have to go back and see what some of the others were so I can play along with this one too. :D

Oh... disappointment! Not weekly? Change? Gosh, do we hear a common theme here?

I too will be glad to give it a try, but I will miss the Monday morning gotta peek at the new challenge excitement! Cheap thrill!

Ya know, if the challenge was posted every Sunday morning, it would be a tough decision as to whether I race to crack open the new Target ad first, or the new Altered Challenge on the forum! That's how high you guys rate on the Sunday am heirarchy... (smile, is this sac relig?)

It will be fun to see how the format works on the new blog... I'll be there for sure! Again, thanks Christine and Robyn for all of your creative energies and inspiration!!

I love the weekly challenges, but sometimes find I cannot always get them completed in time. Monthly sounds great, more time for creativity.

Thanks for all of your support guys. We're going to try out this new monthly format and just go from there. Change is always hard but it could be totally cool! Let's give it a few months and then we'll go from there.

In the meantime ... let's see some Final Exam layouts!!
