Today is one crazy day here in Tucson - we got snow last night! This morning when I left for work our whole street was white - the trees, the ground, even the poor cactus LOL! It isn't a lot, but it's pretty exciting for us desert-dwellers. So, I thought that snow might be a fun topic for the check-in this week - Love it? Hate it? Just plain sick of it? Tell us how you feel about snow :) And, if you have any good snow-related stories, I'm always game for those too :)

My kids LOVE the snow. . . I tolerate it! I love having a white Christmas. . . which we haven't had in a few years! But, my house faces north and that means that the snow on my driveway NEVER melts. . .so lots of shoveling for me!

I love the snow but we haven't seen it in 5+ years due to moving around so much. My youngest has never experienced it.
My favorite snow is the kind that makes everything close down, and if you go outside at night time when the street lights are on and its falling so plump but fast you can hear it hit the ground in a soft little crackling noise....ahhh. Yep, thats my favorite thing about snow.
I just love it.

I do think it is beautiful! I loooove it on Christmas lights. And I like to play in it! However, driving in it and shoveling it, I could do without! LOL

I'll admit to being a snow lover. My husband is not, but there's just something magic about snow. I spent hours playing outside as a kid, making forts, snowballs, angels, sculptures, slides... I love getting so cold that you can't feel your thighs or feet and then coming in to a warm house, steaming everywhere, and taking a hot bath and drinking hot chocolate. We'd always wrap up in blankets afterwards and read stories or watch a movie together. Snow makes the barren world look so elegant.

I love how muffled the world is when it is falling. There are not sharp or loud sounds _ everything is muffled LOL
The year my second daughter was born was a huge snow year. She was born in the beginning of may, and there were still huge snow piles left over from the plows when I went into the hospital. It was also the first year the Vancouver Cannucks made it to the Stanley Cup playoffs (oh yeah, it's hockey and I am a Canadian... lol)
I don't mind the snow. It is just part of life here.
