Normally I am late posting the challenge because I am busy. This week, I just forgot! LOL! Senility sets in early, I guess...

Anyway, this week, we are going to concentrate on ourselves. This is as much a journaling challenge as it is a layout challenge. I want to hear about where you lived when you were born. Perhaps you have a picture of your first house but that is not necessary. You can just be creative. Journal about what you remember about the house. Or you could do a layout about the town you lived in ... or the country. But I want to see some journaling please. This will be a heritage layout that future generations will find really cool.

Here is my sample: My First Home (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=31441&cat=500&ppuser=1707)

I also found another excellent example in the gallery by nEEd2creAte. Here's a link to her layout. (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=27484)

:( Snif, snif, great challenge but I did my house of birth, with journaling, in the houses-challenge last month. But I will see what I can find more about another house ;) .

hmmm... I am going to have to phone Mom. My folks were very young when they got married, and lived in a couple rental places until they could save a down payment for a house. I have no idea where (and what!!) my first house was!

I remember that gorgeous layout Mar! You could do a different house or you could do a layout about the town you were born in. Or you could do a layout about the house your parents (or your aunt) were born in. The options are endless!!

This comment makes me so happy. Sounds like you will find out some stuff you didn't know about yourself!!

Snif, snif, that was the same house, CRY, lol. And you are right the options are endless, so I have another idea and you should be amazed.

Great challenge Robyn... it's been a long time since I've done a heritage challenge. ;)
I'm at work right now but I'll come back later with my layout.

I didn't know if I would actually get this done - I had the info after I talked to Mom, but I just didn't know how I was going to scrap it. We have no photo's of the house! lol

So, at any rate, here is the layout:

Finally still in time. Sorry that I'll be a little late, but it was a mad-house at my work by the storm we had here. But here is my About a doorhandle (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=31825&cat=585).

Thanks for hosting Robyn.
