CD's are cheap. You can get a pack of 100 for something like five dollars. And they are tons of fun to alter. And there are many printers that come with ways to create labels for your CD's. This works perfectly for digital CD altering. You can just print up your creation on a CD label and stick it on! Fun stuff!

I have created a template for you if you would like to use it. HERE (http://www.robynengland.com/images/sa/happyrobyn-cdtemplate.png) is the link. The template has the middle circle cut out but I don't always use the cut-out part as you will see in my example.

No rules this week. Just get creative with your roundness! Post a link here so we can admire your artistry.

Here's my example: Wonder (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=30796&cat=500&ppuser=1707)

We have a printer that will actually print directly onto printable CDs. They are a bit more expensive but hubby is right into using them, both for his DVD work and anything else that we might be able to get that is CD print-on-able.

Helen ... I have a printer like that, too! Very cool stuff. I can't wait to print out some of these little CD's.

I also just posted the Heritage Challenge and decided to use the same theme. So my example for that is in the Heritage Challenge Gallery but it falls under this challenge as well. Here's the link: Bouchey Family (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=30867&cat=500&ppuser=1707)

I'm limited on computer time these days as I'm waiting for my replacement machine to come in. So I have to squeeze in time when DH isn't on his or steal away a few moments on my breaks at work.

But I'm hoping to jump in on this challenge. Maybe this weekend I'll get to sneak some creative time in on hubby's computer.... better yet, maybe mine will finally show up! :D

I'm here (barely) and want to make something round and beautiful, too!

Sorry for my last few days of silence, everyone! I've had terrible stomach flu and am just rising from the living dead! I mean it, it has been AWFUL! I'm still sick with normal flu symptoms, headache, fever, body aches, chills...but I can HANDLE THIS!! It's that other INSANELY horrific stuff my stomach can't take another second of! YIKES! The worst thing is, my dh had it at the same time...this was a house of the dead for 2 days straight, lol! Must've gotten this from one of my little pip squirt students the other day while teaching a large group of munchkins the violin.

And I'm starting back slowly on solids, and checking my emails, so hey, I'll catch up in the forums, eventually too!

And, I KNOW that one thing that will make me feel a LOT better is to take ROBYN'S challenge! It is brilliant, and sounds so much fun! Will you join me!?? (and then I think I'll go back to bed, lol!)

Thanks for listening! :)

Paintchip - I hope your computer shows soon. I can't wait to see what you create.

Christine ... welcome to the land of the living! I was wondering what cliff you fell off of as I haven't heard from you publicly or privately for some time. I'll email you in a bit. Glad to hear you are on the mend. I have missed you!!!

This is wonderful and so true...very pretty sentiment and the way you expressed it here, perfect!...now, she will cover part of the hole in your cd? Is the hole in your template a wee larger than the actual hole on a cd, or how will this work? I'm actually loving the idea of doing this!
Christine - Yes ... she will cover the hole. I will actually print the label without her on it. And then I will print her separately and glue her on top. And, yes, the hole in the template is larger than the hole in the CD. The template works perfectly with my printer. You may need to tweak it for yours. I buy the CD sheets that actually stick on the CD. It usually looks better than the print right on the CD kind.

SShhh.... don't tell hubby I loaded some graphics software on his computer so I could play. ;) Maybe he'll not notice.

Here's my piece (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=31219)for this challenge.

Okay I remember seeing just before Christmas I think it a CD album with digi pages created, fantastic, but I for the life of me can't figure out how she cut the hole in the edge of the cd.

And I wanna know cause I wanna do one. Ideas?

I punch holes in the edges of CD's (or whatever!) with a Cropodile tool. It's a fairly new tool that punches holes and sets eyelets with a gentle squeeze! Great fun.

Had to try this and the CD turned out quite crazy. :)

Now I have to make a CD with my boys's favorite music.
