This challenge is by special request (by Helen/Belles if I remember correctly). Thanks for the great idea!

This week, we are scrapping houses (or any buildings) of the past. The house does not need to be the main focus of the pictures but should be visible. Remember that your photos should be from the 1970's and before.

Here is my example: 321 Webber St. (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=28608&cat=500&ppuser=1707)

LOL oh boy ok well I have photos of old buildings comming out my ears so to speak but its the buildings in the photos that are old not necessarily the photos that are old. I can make them look old ;)

Oh oh I have one that was taken back in the 70s and I have used it before. I used if for another challenge where we where to fill a shape with a paper -- the map was my shape -- Here it is (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=15030&cat=500&ppuser=2214)

How many do you wanna have?? Our great-grandfather was a famous architect, he build ???????? Houses and seventeen big churches. In some villages when you shouted his name the totally village including the church will be gone , Dutch saying, because most of the houses are designed by him.

But I think I will keep it simple I make a layout of the house were my mother, my aunt and I been born. I always want to do something with these photo's, in this case before 1970 ;).

i already had this one done as well, so thought i would put it up. It is part of several other LOs about this family, that's why it is a salmon/pinkish colour!!!

i will probably do something else as well.

cant wait to see what everyone else has done too.

well, here I go again!! Why are these linky things so long??? As usual, depending on my computer skills today, you may or may not see an old cottage that was converted into a bedroom for me on our farm.

When, Marjo, my mother in law had seen my layout of my house of birth she ask me to make one for her too. At this moment I'll be making a book for her about her life, and I was happy that she asked me.

Here's an action I just found under "Dave's Sketch" that gives a "Currier and Ives" look which looks great on the example of an old house. I'm going to try this. Just wanted to share this action especially with the "old house" lo's. Hope I have time to post one, I haven't been able to do that lately!

this is the new one i have done for this challenge, the houses aren't as flash as all the rest in the gallery, but that's how life was in the remote far west of south australia in those days. 500 miles from the capital city, a week or two by horse and cart, and the boat came about once every five or six weeks to bring passengers and freight. So they had to use what was available, no big trees, but lots of smaller ones which they used for uprights and in the earlier days bag or tin was attached to the rails, and then later the local limestone rock was used to build the houses, with mortar made from burnt limestone rock.

just sharing a LO of me Christmas 1958, hope it is ok to put it here.

this is WAY late - but I had to think about it, and then find the perfect kit to do it ith... lol
(btw, Robyn, I love your heritage challenges even if I don't always get them done on time!)

I am pretty sure Bert's trapper's cabin in back would classify as a heritage 'house' - oh, and his feet are not bear, he is wearing tall moccasins, and that part of the photo is faded.

Cindy - it is gorgeous! And, there is no time frame on these challenges. The photos are ALREADY heritage!!! So what's a few weeks??!! LOL!
