Well, I'm sure that most of you already know that clicking that eyeball will turn your "layer visibility" on and off... so if you click it off, the layer disappears, and if you leave it on, you can see the layer.
But, here's a FUNKY little trick! :) (Well as FUNKY as tricks can get in Photoshop!). Try this...
Click on the eyeball while holding the ALT key. It will turn off all the other layers in your doument and show you just the one that you are on. It's a handy little trick for figuring out what layer you are working with, and it's pretty cool! :)
Have a great week everyone! :)

Indeed! I need this so often, I am sitting here wondering why on earth I don't have a short cut key assigned to it but this saves the bother!

Oh COOL! Now I can stop clicking that little eyeball on and off while scanning the page to see what is changing! LOL! Am I the only one who does that?! Perhaps I should just name the layers but what fun would that be?! Thanks for the tip Ange!

I just found out the most awesome thing about the layer thumbnails. Maybe you know this already, but I sure didn't.
If you right click on the layer thumbnail and choose "clip thumbnail to layer bounds" instead of "to document bounds" you will actually see the contents of the layer in a really good size and recognize whatever it is no problem. A staple looks like a staple and not like an empty layer lost on a 12x12 image.
I'm thrilled.....

Thanks Rikki! Great addition to this tip. I do name my layers when it's a small item, but this should help too!
