Ok, when I say small I'm thinking those layers like "stitching" and other small things like that! You know when you want to use the move tool to move those items around and it's hard to just "grab ahold of them" and pick them up.
Well, there is the obvious tip of zooming in real close to pick up the layer, and I think that many of us know that one... but here's another really nice tip that I think is so useful!
When you have the MOVE tool selected, on your document "right click" and you will see a list of all the layers that are in that document below that actual point. The TOP layer listed there will be the layer that will be moved if you use your move tool right now. Try this for a few clicks and it will make sense! This tip also works a little easier if you have your layers named with good names. Having your layer named "stiching" is better than "layer 9" in these cases! :)
