Thank you to everyone who created a glittery masterpiece last week!

This week's challenge is an easy one. It seems that many people are intimidated by heritage pictures. So what we are going to do is take a layout that you have already created and scraplift it! In some cases, you can simply interchange the original "modern" photo with a heritage photo. Then just change the title and journaling and you're done! This is fun to do when you are out of heritage ideas and it also proves that you do not have to use traditional heritage kits to scrap heritage pictures. In fact I have never found a modern kit that I can't use to scrap a heritage picture with!

Please post the two layouts side-by-side so we can see them together. My example will be posted in just a minute.

Post your layout in the Heritage Challenge gallery and be sure to give us a link in this thread so we can see what you have come up with. Remember that photos should be from the 1970's and before. Have fun!!!

I just uploaded my example. In this sample, I actually desaturated the papers. But don't feel you HAVE to do anything other than swap out the modern pictures for heritage ones. CLICK HERE (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=25189&cat=500&ppuser=1707) to see my example.

Hi, unlike cre8tvlyyrs, I did find this needed a bit of brain storming. I never scraplift whether for challenges or practice, I just have trouble altering an already completed piece of work. Anyhow I have attempted a scraplift of one of my earlier pages and I am sort of happy with the result. Don't think I will scraplift again for a while though

Well, here is mine - just under the wire! lol

This photo was really blurry - the camera's back then were NOT the same as today. I beleie it was taken with one of those old box camera's with the HUGE flash bulb on top - lol... yep, this was before even magic cubes and flash bars! What I did was duplicate the layer, extreme sharpen the bottom layer, then lower the opacity of the top to blend them. It worked wonderfully - and rescued the photo!
