Help with Nancie's Digi Distressing Kit

Ok, what I want to do is create a messy brushed heart outline around a heart-shaped picture I have. I'd like to use the Acrylic Brushes that came with the kit. Can this be done? I kinda did it, but I'm not happy with the results. You can tell where the strokes overlapped and that I used the warp tool to bend the strokes, etc. Is there any way to make it nearly seamless and smooth...maybe by changing the brush dynamics or something. BTW, I'm using PSCS2 and I'm pretty new at it. Thanks!

Hm. I just tried what you want to do with the acrylic brushes. My result you can see here (I did this quite quickly, so don't expect too much:

I just adjusted the size of the brushes and rotatetd them according to where I wanted to put them in the brush palette. Is this the look you wanted to achieve? Once you've done this you could change the blending mode etc. to make it look better or use another colour altogether.
Also, I don't think that overlapping brush strokes are a bad thing at all.
