Help, think I'm going mad!! Brushes again!

Hello all from sunny(ish) England. Here's the thing, I purchased a brush set from your good selves and photoshop(6) says the brushes are not for this version of photoshop, I assumed they would work on any. Are the brushes for a specific version of PS? If so which one?:( :confused:

Unfortunately, things created in Photoshop are not backwards compatible. So, if something was created in Photoshop CS or CS2, it won't work in earlier versions such as PS6 or PS7. But, in the file with the brushes you should have gotten .pngs too, so it's really easy to make brushes that will work in PS6 :) Just open up the brush shape you want to use, go into Edit and click on Define Brush - now when you go to your brushes palette you'll see your new brush shape right there :)
