PLEASE !!!!

The subject is brushes,
I use CS2 and I have been trying to create brushes .

This is what I am having probs with --sometimes the command edit - define brush preset is there sometimes not. if it is there how do I save it ? How do I find it after ? do I put it in its own set ?

OK so I dont know much. I can see how to create it - sometimes - but if I wanted to find it again I cant . its all a hit and miss affair and I know some of you are absolute boffins at this

so --P-L-E-A-E-S-E

HELP.............................

The first thing that comes to my mind is that maybe the area you're trying to define is too large. I know that sometimes in making brushes if it's too large, you don't have the define brush command available. Barring that...I don't know! I hope that helps and if not, someone more knowledgeable than I jumps in here!! :D Hang in there--we don't need any PS casualties!! LOL.

That's what I was going to say too - the image size is probably too big. If it's over 2500 pixels you won't be able to define it as a brush. Hopefully that's all it is - If that doesn't do it let us know and we'll dig deeper :)

Firstly, if the brush you are trying to define is too large, copy and paste your document at a smaller size then try redefining it.

The brush you have created will appear at the very bottom of the drop down list in the brush palette. You can save brushes in a folder (mine is in My Documents>Photoshop Brushes>then by designers name.

Open the brush palette, click on the small right hand pointing arrow at the top of the window, this will bring up your options, click on preset manager. Highlight all the brushes you have created and want to save, then click save and point to the file/path you want to save them in.

To use them you will need to click on the small arrow again and either load or replace brushes (point computer to where they are saved). They should now appear in your brush palette.
