Circle brush on Psp?

Hi all, is there a way to make a circle brush in Psp, bec. i don;t think it has "a stroke brush on path " button there. I have found a tut about that but it is written in PS but i hardly find my way around there.
Pls. help !

You can get PSP to do the brush on a path using the Vector Paint Script which you can find at the site below. There is also a Vector Tube Script to make picture tubes follow the path. If you are using version 9 or X, you will need to right click on the vector object/vector text and choose Convert to Path to make it work.

Oh thanks Mary for the link..that's what i am looking for..But the problem is i have not used scripts before hehe. oh well i will just try..

In your My Documents folder you have a folder called My PSP Files (My PSP8 Files for version 8). Inside that folder you have two Scripts folders, one Restricted and one Trusted. Put the script in the folder as instructed with the download. After you do that, you will see the script listed in the menu on the Scripts Toolbar. If it is not opened, go to View, Toolbars.

Using the vector paint script:

draw your vector shape or letter. If you just want to see the path, turn off the fill color and just use the stroke.
change to the object selector tool (8 and 9) or the pick tool (X)
resize if needed
if you are using versions 9 or X, you may need to right click on the object in the layer palette and choose convert to path
choose the brush, set the size and other options
run the script
if it does not come out like you want the first time, just undo, reset the size, etc. and run the script again.


If you do not want the vector object to show, you can either cut it off or delete the layer after you have run the script.


If you are using the vector tube script, you do the same thing except choose a tube in step 5.

Hi Mary, i already downloaded the script, i'm in your no. 4 instruction, but i can't find "click convert to path." There's no button like that in psp8..gosh i'm lost...help is gretly appreciated

Hi, Scrappy,
Since you are using version 8, you can skip step 4. The scripts were written for version 8, and work fine without making any special changes.

But there were some new vector tools added in version 9 that are also in version X. If you use the Ellipse tool, the Rectangle tool, or the Symmetric Shape tool to draw the "path", it does not work until you use the Convert to Path. Vector text in version 9 and X also needs to be converted to path.
