Since there is so much excitement going on with the Pool Party here at Scrap Artist this week, I thought I would give some of the newcomers a chance to do some of the old Heritage Challenges. And those of you who have been with us for a while can do one that you may have missed. The challenge this week is to choose ANY of my previous Heritage Challenges and use that as your inspiration. There are 29 to choose from! Please leave us a link to your layout and tell us which challenge number it is for.
Have a great week and I look forward to seeing your layouts!

Great idea. I only recently got a few more old pictures of my family. Never did heritage layouts before, so this is a good chance for me to practice.....

Hi Robyn,
I just jumped in for Challenge # 29 so I'm excited to be able to go back and pick a past Challenge. But, as I was skimming through the past topics, I realized that I've already scrapped some heritage pages that fit perfectly with some of these past challenges. Is it okay if I post some of them for this week? Let me know if that's okay. I hope to complete a new LO too!
Let me know!

Boy, I'm just loving these heritage challenges. I have many old photographs that have been put away, not knowing what to do with 'em. Now I'll have some wonderful memories to pass on to my grandchildren.
I chose to do #22 - Love is a Lovely Word.
Here's my layout:

Happy belated birthday Robyn! I am so bummed because I got in on your blog party too late and missed getting to DL Maya's Cowboy Kit.
I scrapped a layout for Challenge # 25 tyting inspiration. I missed that one and this was fun to catch up. I used Mormor and part of Buddhini's layout of this for inspiration.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to go in and move my heritage layout to the Heritage gallery today (Wednesday). It felt good to know that it was in the 'right' place! I know that several others posted to the members gallery like me and might want to do the same.

I couldn't resist number 22 Love is a lovely word. I was looking through some of my wedding photos and found this one of my grandmother and really wanted to do something for her. I have a full page scrap nearly done for my scrapbook, but I need a china figurine to go in it if my father can't find a pic of her on horseback, so I can't finish it yet, but I have done this for her.

I went way back with the challenges. First I wanted to re-do Robyn's LO, but then I remembered I had a similar photo and used this instead. Worked fin for the group portrait challenge.
I'm getting into this heritage and mix and match thing now, so much fun....:).
Here is my LO:

Hi,
I posted this layout in response to the Heritage challenge #2 to use ephemera, I did this layout a while back, but I thought it fit the challenge well. I'm just starting to play with you guys so I've got a lot of catching up to do!
I'm actually making theme albums so over time you will notice that all my heritage layouts have a similar color scheme: A. Neutrals, Golds and Rose for layouts up through WWII B. Colorful pastels for my Post WWII layouts.

Thanks for looking!

I chose to do Challenge #6 -- Children of the Past. I found this picture of my MIL when she was about 7 years old.

Hi,
Here's one more. I promised I would do one new Layout so here it is. I chose Challenge #8 - Women from Way Back Then.
This is my great great grandmother. The original photo was a tintype photo - printed on a thin metal plate. I included text from the 1850 Census, the 1870 Census and the 1850 Slave Schedule. These records are really all I know about her.
I feel sort of guilty, but I used a Quick-page for this. But, the colors work perfectly with my other heritage layouts! Here it is: http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=19570&limit=recent
