Here I am again with a tough question, lol.

Does anyone have any step by step instructions for the confused (me) for separating and saving individual brushes? I have tons of sets I have downloaded for 1 or 2 of the brushes in a set and would like to separate them out for easier retrieval. Does this question make sense to anyone else?

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated - you can't imagine how many brush sets I have downloaded! I'm definitely addicted, ladies! :o

Thanks in advance!

Assuming you are using photoshop? Use the preset manager under the Edit menu. Select the brushes you want to have in a set - I believe it's ctrl+click and then select the save buttion and rename them. Only problem with this process will be keeping track of where you got the brushes from in the first place. Perhaps beforehand, in the preset manager you can rename each individual brush with the proper credits by double clicking on each brush and renaming? Just a suggestion. HTH!

Hi Dianne!

Yes, I'm using PSE3 and PSCS.

The individual brushes are fine, it's the sets of say 10 that I am having the problem with. I am going to give your suggestion a try and let you know how I make out! Thanks for the help!

Dianne, your point about renaming the brush in a set before separating it from the mother ship is a great one and will save a lot of time and grief when you need to give credits. I think the same practise is a good one for all individual things you choose to repackage with the preset manager: actions, shapes, styles etcetera. I know from weary experience.
