Hi there, I have PSP8 and I've been having a go at Michelle's latest QP and it's turned out too huge in it's original downloaded size to post here? lol Yep I'm new at this. Do you resize the papers and digi photos 1st before creating your layout? What is the size limit to post here? Please any help here would be most gratefully recieved, ta.

Hi Geyla! I have PSPX but If I remember correctly it's was the same instructions in PSP8.
When you create a new layout, create it at 12x12 inches 300dpi. Then every papers and embellisments you will got will be the correct size. You always save it in .pspimage format (the standard) until you have finished it.
When you will have finished working on it save it a last time in pspimage. Then
1. merge all layouts (layers, merge, merge all)
2. resize it (Image, resize).
Check the 3 check box at the bottom: resize all layout, lock aspect ratio and resample using SMART SIZE
in the pixel dimension enter 500 x 500 pixels
press OK
3. Most of the time this make the layout a bit too soft. Go to adjust, sharpeness, sharpen
4. File, export, jpeg optimizer. Play with the set compression value until the compress is under 125k.
5. save it under another name (a lot of us use thenameofthelayout_web.jpg)
6. Now it's done. Close your file and DON'T SAVE IT because it's now resized.
7. you can upload it in the gallery.
If you need more help, just ask me

Isabelle, thank you so much for that...yes I can follow tho's instructions. I was doing some of what you have said there but re the smart size and changing the compression I didn't know about and of course silly me forgot about merging the layers...oh boy! So I've got it to work this time I think? I've been doing graphics in psp for ages but nothing that really needed resizing so much :p
Next one I do I'll create it like you said and see how it goes.
Thanks again.
