Welcome to Tip Tuesday! I'm so glad that Tip Tuesday has found a new home here at ScrapArtist! To start things off I'm going to post the few tips that were posted on the old forum...

First: about keeping things "centered"

In Photoshop or Photoshop Elements:

When you are "building" your scrapbook page. If you bring your papers and other elements into your layout by dragging the layer icon from the original file, to your new layout file, hold down the shift key while you do this. When your paper gets placed on the new layout, it will automatically be centered. (No more trying to move the 12 inch paper so it's right in the middle of your layout). It's a good way to start out building your page.

And next, a tip about those locked background layers:

If you are new to digital scrapping, this can be especially frustrating. It seems everytime you open a picture or start a new layout, there is a lock on your background layer.

This is normal. All new documents have a background that is partially locked (you can’t move the background). To turn it into a regular layer and remove the lock, double-click the background and click OK in the New Layer dialog (or choose a new name, if you like).
