#24 Borrow an Ancestor [June 19-25]

This week we are going to borrow an ancestor from Flickr's 100 year old photo pool (http://www.flickr.com/groups/100_years_old/pool). Then we will create an ATC with the photo. An ATC (Altered Trading Card) is a 2.5 x 3.5 miniature piece of art. Lots of fun!

Note: When you click on the Flickr image you like, be sure to click where it says "all sizes" above the picture and then select the largest size available.

And since the photos are provided - EVERYONE can play!

Hi Robyn

I just don't think i am going to get there for this week. I am so busy and got a dh (farmer)who has a crook back, so a trip to our nearest city to have scans is 5 hrs away, so my week is going to be hectic and i can see i will have no time to scrap. i have read up on the ATC and would love to do one, but later and probably use my own photo... sorry, but i will be back.... between three funerals and dh's back.... ahhh i need to get back into scrappin'!

This is my first ATC and I never have done some thing like this. I am so exited to post this and I hope what I have done is alright. Thanks to this challenge I learnt what ATC is. So thank you Robin, for giving us this challenge this time and that link was so helpful.

It's one of the best photo resources around. Aren't all of the pictures just awesome! I can sit and stare for hours!

This is an amazing resource! But I have a question. Most of the photos are available for download - I've already downloaded one. But I've just found another one I really want, and it isn't available! When I click on it, there isn't a link for sizes. Has anyone else had this happen? And does anyone know why? I'm so sad. :(

Another question - are we allowed to combine challenges? I want to combine this challenge with the altered/collage challenge for this week - will that count?

Cheryl - it's just fine if you combine challenges. Post the link in the altered challenge thread as well. I love your ATC! And about some of the photos not having an option for all sizes - that has happened to me. I am guessing that it was uploaded at a low resolution by whoever originally uploaded the picture. It is unfortunate because there are some really cool ones!
