View Full Version : Cannot save avatar

I tried to upload a pic to my profile and it says, "cannot save avatar". I made sure it was the right size. Any guess as to what the problem might be?:confused:

hmmm ... is it a jpeg? I don't believe this site accepts gifs. And is it 125x125 or less? Those are the main things I can think of off the top of my head.

Yes. I have tried uploading from my computer and from my website and no luck. Any guesses? The file is a Jpeg 100 x 80 something.

I don't know what I did, but I got it in there. Can you believe it? I think I just got lucky.

I searched the forums and found this thread, but unfortunately it didn't help me. I have the same exact problem. I've tried adding a profile picture and I get the "can't save avatar" error message. I've made sure my file is the right size and it's a jpeg...no luck. :dontknow: Suggestions anyone? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hey Greta,

Click on Edit Avatar, not Edit Picture Profile, that will take you to the page to upload your Avatar :)

Michelle, I had tried both the profile and avatar...neither were working for me. With the avatar, it kept telling me my file was too large, even though I made sure it wasn't. Today when I went back and tried changing the avatar, it worked - yay! Weird.

I had problems at first, too. My 'upload customer avatar' option wasn't even showing up. Michele fixed it though. She's awesome!

Don't know how I did it either but it finaly worked, think something is'nt right with that download thread!!!

I am having a similar problem uploading photos - they just want upload the photo only the text info. I have tried a lot of times and still can't make it work -the file is ok size too.

Please help!

Ruth, I wish I could help you because I know how frustrating it is. But, unfortunately, I don't know what I did any different between my attempts that eventually made it work. I just kept trying. Do you get an error message or anything that might give us a clue as to how we can help?

I got a message saying file was too large when it wasn't a few times. But otherwise it just uploads (well supposedly) and then it shows just the title in the gallery - no thumbnail.
I have tried for the last 3 days on and off. Not sure what else to do.
