Is it still showing in Photoshop? You need so save it separately to an action file as it's just part of the presets file at the moment. Click on the action set name, then click the menu button on the actions palette and select Save Actions. You can then save it as an action file wherever you like and send it to your friend.

Also I'm going to move this post to a more appropriate forum. :)

Glad you worked it out! For anyone else reading this thread, it's the little button that looks similar to a Play button. It's the same on all the palettes, will open up the related options.

And the thread moved to "Cool! How did you do that?" - our system auto links you through to the new place.

Again thanks, however I thought I must say that I knew about the little arrow --that wasnt the issue. The problem was that the save as was greyed out.

I need to go to the set name and save as ---so as my action was part of my default set, so I opened a new one -- and moved this action to the set and then I could save it !

Works like a dream !
