Photography Challenge - 6/12

I had a few ideas for a challenge this week, but I'm actually feeling camera challenged today (perhaps it's too hot for my creative brain to function) - so I'm going to rely on something that's been interesting me lately... I'm going to challenge you to do some Photojournalism.

I've been admiring the galleries of some great photographers on fredmiranda such as Sheila Smart (http://www.pbase.com/sheila/candids) and she's really inspiring me to do some street photography work, her candids (and her cityscapes, she's in Sydney) are incredible.

My photo example (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=14754&cat=610) is of a stranger which you're more than welcome to do (I'd even encourage it) but if you're uncomfortable with that, you can use someone you know - the only real guideline is they can't know you're taking their photo!

I've really been trying to step out of my comfort zone and get a pic. of a stranger but just haven't been able to do it yet! I'm working on it!

OK, so they aren't strangers - they are my husband and his fishing buddy, but they didn't know I was taking their pictures. I took several pictures of them before they knew I was there. This was my first and best shot. Once they saw me with the camera they started posing, and the shots went downhill fast!

This is my first addition to this site, I loved the challenge, and wanted to add my photo to your wonderful ones, I don't know if you are allowed to use the ones from a few mths ago, or only the ones especially taken for the challenge.;) I hope you will forgive me. And welcome! I try to use new photos for challenges, but sometimes I rely on old ones, even when it's my challenge - so old or new, we don't mind! :)
