Batik

Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone out there knows how to simulate batik fabric. I've looked all over for a tutorial but no luck. I've never even really seen any digital batik except for a paper pack by Tandika Star. I'd really love to do something similar to that. Anyone have any ideas?

Hummmmmmm I would be interested to know how to do this digitally was well. I can do it on paper with dyes and bleach and blowing with a straw but digitally hummmmmmm could be a bit of a challenge to work that one out.

Is batik like a kind of tie die effect?

How about using the airbrush? Using the airbrush and blowing through a straw should create a similar effect.
