Photography Challenge 4/24

Over the last several months, we've used shadow, we've used light...now, how about we show off some texture? Using both shadow and light effectively can create wonderful texture, my challenge to you is to show us your take on texture! I don't have a preview of my own for you yet, but in the meantime, here are a couple of links that have some serious eye-candy (and some information on acheiving texture)!

Okay, I'm a texture-a-holic. Looong before I ever started scrapbooking I would walk into a store and "feel" my way. It's a running joke that Mike says I have to feel things to know if I like them. If he wants to buy a new shirt, he'll hold it up to himself and ask if I like it and I can't really answer until I "cop a feel". I'm wierd.... so while at Photoshop World I hardly took any photos of any people (even though Nancie and I were there TOGETHER!) but I took lots of textures of building in Miami. Because it's so humid there, there is always a great amount of "water damage" and rusting... so there were so many beautiful opportunies for great texture photos.

I'm the same way. I have to feel everything before I buy it -- it's the one reason that I rarely buy clothes online.

Okay, first time poster here, so it took me a while to figure out how to size my photos to upload them. And, I'm still not sure I did it right, lol. :rolleyes: But enjoy! Thanks for everyone's help :D

Actually, the bird's nest is in the wreath on my front door. I heard birds chattering there one day and opened the door to find a little nest with four eggs (it has five now). I am afraid, however, that the momma bird has abandoned them. :( Just in case, tho, I don't want to take down the winter wreath, lol.
