Sorry, I'm a day late posting this tip! My family has been passing around cold bugs for the past little bit, and it finally caught up to mom! Anyway, here's the tip for this week:
It's a simple, simple, tip but a great habit to get into!
Before editing your photo at all (ie. doing a levels adjustment, etc.), a good habit to get into is going to the Image menu and choosing duplicate. This will give you a copy of your original image, and you can then close your originial photo. Doing this will help prevent saving over the original image. You should never save over your original image, because you may want to revert back to it, regardless of your great edits, at a later date.
When I took a photoshop class a few years back, our instructor had us do this with every image we ever worked with, and it's a great habit to develop to "protect those original files".
Have a great week everyone! :)
