This week's challenge is by special request! Now if I could only remember who requested it! Belles maybe?? Whoever it was, thank you and stand up and make yourself known!! This will be a fun challenge.
We are scrapping Group Portraits from the 1970's and before. These can be formal (studio) portraits or just snapshots. Anything goes on these layouts. Scrap in whatever style you wish. Have fun with this and don't worry if you don't know everyone's names in the group shot. Please post your layout to the Heritage Challenge Gallery.

I'll have some more examples throughout the week. But here is my first: Archamboult Family 1910 (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=7989&limit=last7)

Kari - it's gorgeous! Almost a combination of last week's challenge (women) and this week's group portraits challenge. Thanks for your loyalty to this challenge! Your layouts are always such an inspiration.

It was me -- but was more of a suggestion than a request I think.
I have several group photos of different sorts that I could do for this but not sure when I am going to get any scrapping done this week as its a busy full week and I might be away on the weekend as well.
I still have last weeks Heritage Challenge only half done.
I will get them done at some point I guess.

YAY! Now I can stop wondering who it was that sent me that PM. I really need to save things. At home, I have things from the 1800's, but online, it is so easy to hit delete!! Thanks for your suggestion Belles! It is a great one. And so many old pictures are group shots. And there seemed to be lots of family gatherings in days gone by. That's ok if you can't play this week Belles. I'll look forward to when you get a chance to catch up. Your layouts are always amazing! Have a fun, busy week.

Here's mine. I wish the photo showed up better. I was working on it while it was zoomed in pretty far and it was almost an eerie feeling knowing that every last one of these ordinary looking people were all gone. I saw their faces "up close and personal"

Great as always! And I often have that feeling that the people in the pictures I am working on all lead a full life and are now gone. Strange feeling but I know what you mean.

I am so glad to finally get one of these finished - I have been loving the challenge prompts, just not getting to them each week.

Here is my first submission - 4 Generations. I've never done this before, so I hope I do this right!
Could I ask a question? I did the two previous challenges - the montage one, and Women of the Past before I joined up yesterday. Can I just jump in and post them, or just start with this one? In any case, thanks so much for letting me play!

OF COURSE you can do the older challenges Peggy! In fact, I encourage it!! Thank you so much for posting this layout. It is very inspirational and the journaling is awesome!

I started a group photo layout but got wrapped up in the slide challenge. So I'll post later on. Gotta do my taxes and see if my refund will pay for that new computer!
I have to say that group photos often seem kind of boring and uninteresting but everyone has done an incredible job of giving them life and pizazz.

Great Debra! I can't wait to see yours! And speaking of breathing life into boring old group photos, I thought I would show you one of mine that I don't know if you have seen. King of the Castle (http://www.scrapartist.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=5119&cat=500&ppuser=1707)
