Sorry ... can't help you. I am a die-hard Photoshopper myself. I haven't heard of Roxio though. I'm gonna have to look it up.

Guess I am the only Roxio user then!!! lol! Oh well! I am still planning to get PhotoShop one of these days. But for now, Roxio's my thing! It's really a multi-media software for music, pics & video's that my husband bought to burn cd's for his dj business and when I realized all the cool stuff I could do with it I've been using it!

Well, why did those people reply if the don't use Roxio???? :D :D :D
I use Roxio.... it's on my other computer.... but I haven't actually burned anything from this computer, so it's still my mail program for burning DVD's and stuff..... yeah, I like it too. And I'm totally not a pro with it, but I do use it for burning DVD's.... no problem!

I've used Roxio in the past but just for burning DVDs for backup. Does it do photo editing too? I had no idea!!!

Sorry I'm posting back so late! I have been using the Roxio PhotoSuite since last year
and it does awesome photo editing! I'm sure it does a lot more than I've figured out...
since I'm too anxious to read the manual I was hoping someone else here may know
some of the extras! I have downloaded the Corel Paint Shop Pro trial but even though it
looks like it has alot of options it's even more confusing to me then the Roxio!! Ughh!
I guess I need to read the manual huh? Just in case another seasoned Roxio PhotoSuite
user checks this post...can you please share with me about the masking function? I've
seen it mentioned for other programs but don't know how to use it on Roxio.

DH gave me his Roxio program to try out. Doesn't even hold a candle to PSE3. I didn't care for it at all. I ended up deleting it from my drive because it kept trying to prioritize it's self over my PSE and PS7. Sorry I'm no help there.:(

Well the messages on this thread are pretty old so no one may ever read this, but I have used Roxio for many years. I've done digi pages with it, used it for all of my photo editing and used it for emailing. I've done collages with it and even though I've sort of converted over to PSE4 recently, I still use it to print my photos because the print options are so easy.
For paper scrapping I use it to put mats on my pictures before I print them so I don't have to make perfect sized paper mats. I'm sure I used it for lots more but I can't remember them all here. So if original poster reads this and you want to talk Roxio I'm your gal.

Ive used Roxio , though a couple of years ago , as i remember its just a basic editor once you upload your pics , however it does have some options for effects ,noise reduction ect if im correct , other than that its not a "Paint" program.
Paint shop Pro for the 99 usd , however does everything photoshop does at a 1/8 the price , Its been awhile since ive used it , its masking features are excellent as well as its selection tools are far superior to photoshop. Also any plugin ever made for Photoshop can be used in Paint shop pro..not quite sure when Coral bought it though ,there buying everything lol as is Adobe..
if you really want a challenge to see how good an artist you are , open up microsoft paint lol.. j/k , well i used it back in the day ,things are much easier now :)
eh not sure if that helped but hope so....
