Often times in Photoshop you will want to make a duplicate copy of one layer. I recently learned of a new way to do this that is so easy and quick.
Make sure that the layer you are working on is the one that is highlighted and simply press Control J.
Another simple way to duplicate a layer is to select the layer you want duplicated, hold down the alt key and drag the cursor down. A new layer will appear and will be a duplicate of the first one you were working on.
I know there are probably at least ten ways to create duplicate layers in photoshop. Add your obvious or "little known" ones here to this thread, and then people can choose the quickest and fastest way they like the best! :)
Have a great week! :)
