I use Photoshop CS3. I got into digital scrapbooking a few years ago while trying to find a new hobby. I got involved in a class on designing and have been hooked ever since!

I use PSE 5.0, BUT version 8.0 should be arriving tomorrow! :)

I edit family photos and make "creations" with Christmas photos to include in our cards. I decided digital scrapbooking made tons of sense, since I never get our photos printed, and I have YEARS worth of the kids' photos to scrap. I'm just getting started (learning, practicing) right now. My first plan is to work on my daughter's first year book. I have a 6x6, so I'll print those pages out to see how I like digital scrapbooking.

I currently use PSE 7.0 with Lightroom by Adobe. I started to digi scrap about 18 months ago. I had been a paper scrapper for 10 years, and then started looking into hybrid for a specific project. Once I started using the computer and Photoshop Elements, there was no turning back. I am self-taught and continue to learn things about PSE almost every single day.

I have thought about upgrading to CS3, but I just don't have the time to start something new - I like familiar....

I don't see myself ever going back to paper and continue to give away items from my overstocked scraproom, converted digi scrap space. I thought I would miss the paper, but no way : )

With the purchase of a camera at the beginning of this year, it came with Paint Shop Pro x1. I have never done 'digital' anything! no layouts ....still learning...still afraid, nervous, and completely in limbo (space). Most of the tutorials online are for Adobe Photoshop, Elements etc..., so I feel sort of alone...but I do like the editing part of PSPx1 and there's so much more to learn with this imaging program! Am an artist by trade, and would love one day to get a pen with which to paint/draw!
Have discovered digital scrapbooking in April, but have done paper scrapbk for over 20 years, even before it became popular...I sewed covers for albums, made my own papers, etc. Made several wedding albums for my family. Now, I'm ready to move on...to DIGITAL! Yeah! (where was I all these years??)

Im a PSE 6 user- the learning curve was steep- I had it for about a year and didnt use it- I took baby steps- first photo explosion- then picassa- but then early ths year I got a digi scrap magazine- LOVED the layouts and made myself learn a new trick each day- you have to use it to learn it- Linda ROCKS with her tutorials- I catch them online and on a BYU scrapbooking show-. I'll be stepping up my version this Christmas- just trying to figure out which one to go for!

Candi,

I bought PSE 7 too. I was so angry they don't include a book of some kind, plus, if you use the help menu, you are sent to a forum and forced to read through posts until you find the answer IF you're lucky.

I also have problems in that the scroll bar is missing from the fonts and brushes drop down menu. I've figured out to use my arrow keys. Time waster.

I've learned so much from watching tutorials and taking classes online. I highly recommend that. Good luck!
