Exciting Changes at ScrapArtist!

Sales & Promotions

As most of you know, the digital marketplace is changing fast and at ScrapArtist, we’re changing too!

We’re focusing our efforts on doing what we love most — creating beautiful stuff and helping you along your artistic journey. We’re also well aware of the way communication is evolving on the Internet with blogs and social networking. As a result, we’ve decided to move the conversation from our forums to our blog while maintaining our gallery as a place to showcase our products & workshops, so you can see the many possibilities for your own artwork.

We will be closing our public forum and gallery on November 1, 2009. We know many of you have shared your artwork with us over the years, and we are going to keep your galleries intact as they stand on October 31, 2009. We are discontinuing uploads to personal galleries as of November 1, 2009, unless you are participating in a blog challenge or a ScrapArtist Studio workshop. If you would like to continue to share your layouts with us outside of this, please feel free to join our Flickr Group, which is growing fast. If you are currently involved in a ScrapArtist Studio class or workshop, such as Inside the ScrapArtist Studio, your private forum will still be available to meet in.

If you haven’t already, we invite you to become our fan on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. We’ll also be keeping you up-to-date about sales, coupons and exclusive items with our twice-weekly What’s New? emails and our quarterly newsletter, The Muse. If you have not yet signed up to receive these emails, you can do so here.

These changes will allow us to inspire & motivate you through our free Weekend Workshops where we will be working together in small groups to hone our craft and flex our artistic muscles. The first workshop begins November 5, 2009 and registration is now open. We are limiting the workshop to the first 30 registrants, so grab your spot today.

If you have any questions about these changes, don’t hesitate to email me at nancie@scrapartist.com.

I look forward to joining you on this new and exciting journey at ScrapArtist!

Just a quick commment. Your text is in such a light grey on white and so small that I can’t read it without highlighting it.

  2. Jill Conyers Says:

How did I miss the class info?!?! The class is Out Of Stock so I’m assuming it’s full :( Will there be another class offered?

  3. Trina Says:

I am guessing that Out of Stock means the class is full? There isn’t any other messages that pop up when you put it in your cart!

  4. Nancie Says:

Jill and Trina, Thanks for the comments. We are limiting the workshop to 30 participants… so once 30 people have registered it will go to out of stock. We plan to offer more workshops in the future and will announce it here on the blog first right away when we open the registration. The response has been overwhelming today so we may consider adding more spots and if we do, we’ll post it here. THanks!

I am so sorry to hear this info. It will definitely be less convenient and less personal….snif

  6. Linda Says:

I’m really sorry to hear this news as your site was one of my most favorite to come to. I buy tons of supplies from your store and always enjoyed seeing so much variety. You will be missed.

Denise – I’m so sorry you feel this way. I tend to think it will becomre more personal because we’ll be interacting with you on our blog, Facebook and in our workshops. Our PUBLIC forums were not being fully utlized – ie, there was not much back and forth other than in the PRIVATE class forums. If you follow our blog, and subscribe to our emails, you won’t miss a thing!

And Linda – just to clarify we are not closing the site down…just moving our forums content to the blog. You will still be able to view the CT layouts in our gallery and upload if you are taking a challenge or workshop.

Hope this clears things up… if not, just drop me a line! Hugs! Nancie

I think this change is a great idea! I’m on facebook all the time and while I haven’t yet fully utilized flickr I am going to start. It’s so much easier and faster to upload and share layouts. I’m looking forward to the changes :)

  9. HeatherB Says:

I’m confused. So where do we place CT LOs for your designers who sell at your store?

  10. Joy Says:

I believe that you can still upload to your designer’s gallery.
