My computer was out of commission for several weeks. In fact, I only got it back over the weekend and I am thrilled to be back online on a more regular basis. I was using the old desktop which was horribly slow and I just did not have the patience to wait for pages to load. While I missed scrapping and my ScrapArtist family, I think the unplanned break did me good. My kids ended their school year. They started swimming classes. Father’s day. My husband’s birthday. All opportunities to make memories with my family. More importantly, because my body was forced away from the computer, I was able to really enjoy and relish everyday moments with my family. When my daughter put on her tutu and her swim goggles then got one of our silk flower stems and declared herself as Wonderwoman with flower power, I was right there with her, plowing through the house defending the world with our flower powers!
Isn’t this what it is all about? Making memories, big and small.
And so I leave you with this video of one of my favorite songs. It always reminds me to slow down and not rush through life with my kids. Hope it inspires you to dance with your own Cinderella’s or your Prince charming’s too.

So beautiful, Joy! It is easy to forget about the small moments you miss by sitting in front of the computer. I’m also limiting my computer time this summer…my girls are growing up too quickly, and I don’t want to waste the summer in front of this computer. TFS!
