1. You only take three family photos because you *know* you can Photoshop it later so it looks like everyone was really smiling at the same time.
2. You drop everything to take a photo of your daughter’s socks because they match a kit you just bought.
3. You start identifying fonts used on ads, billboards & TV shows – The TV show Private Practice uses the font Marydale for their credits.
4. You need an EHD exclusively to store digiscrapping supplies.
5. You have a 2nd EHD as back up to your 1st EHD filled with digiscrapping supplies.
6. You book a hotel for vacation primarily because it has free wireless internet.
7. Forget flowers – for your birthday or Valentine’s Day, you ask for an EHD, a new camera lens or a tablet.
8. You can’t flip through a magazine without making mental notes of possible layout compositions.
9. You know you’re an international digiscrapper when you know how much a dollar costs in your own currency.
10. You know how to insert a link in html code.
11. You know all kinds of strange abbreviations–SA, TLP, DST, LDD, FPD, WST, SPD, etc.
12. You have the weekly sale days memorized for 15 of your most favorite stores.
13. You get confused at the dentist when they mention your needing an “extraction,” and you pull out your latest layout to show them the technique.
14. Most of your Facebook friends are from another country.
15. You are shocked when PayPal is not an option at the grocery store.
Okay, now it’s your turn! How do you know you’re a digiscrapper?

LOL, Aja, I am the same with a lot of things – EHD for Christmas, looking at fonts at TV or magazines and so on ….
You know that you are a digiscrapper if:
- my kids ask me if I’m going to do that nice picture with photos I just took
- I see textures in everything
- while watching TV commercials looking at that awesome brushwork they have there
- see gorgeous color combos everywhere and in everything
- while shopping for clothes looking at patterns on the dresses
- have to transfer files from my computer to my EHD because there is not enough space again…

AJa! I really enjoyed this today! Thanks for adding to it too Gabi! I especially loved number 13! Great job! I would only add a few of my own. You know you are a digi-scrapper when..
- You take pictures of rotting wood or scuffed walls because you know they will make a great brush! (People sometimes give you strange looks when you do this.)
- You have an iTunes playlist just for scrapping/designing.
- You wake up dreaming of patterns
- You know what this year’s Pantone Color of the Year is.
- Photoshop has become a verb…. as in Aja’s number one! LOL!

OMG! #14 is so true for me!!! haha
ROTFL at #13!!! So funny!!!
April 6th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
This is SO funny! I chuckled and nodded along to most of them. Especially the gift list. My Christmas list only had one item on it… a larger EHD.

- You start to see clothes and food prices based on how many kits it will be…
- If you kid is doing a mess you first take a picture and then proceed to ground and clean.
- You are not in the pictures
- The best pictures you have of YOU were taken BY YOU using timer or remote
- You think is a good idea to put in a resume that you were CT for X W Z designer
- Your family start to think you have imaginary friends because you keep talking of ppl they never met

These are a hoot, Aja!
April 6th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
Aja, these are too funny and I seriously needed a laugh today. Let’s see if I can add to it..
–when drifting off to sleep, you are mentally “rearranging” your current layout in your head
–you ‘know’ that other people don’t completely understand your scrapping obsession, but you think it is just because they haven’t learned how to scrap yet, b/c once they do, you just know they will be just as obsessed as you!

# 14 for me is worst. When 99% of your friends are digiscrappers or their relatives (for playing Pet Society).
More ones:
- When you dream about layouts during all the night, and day too.
- When you do sketches in every little paper.
- You hear about a city and think about a digiscrapper who lives there.
- You took pictures thinking about the layouts.
- You are sad when you don’t scrap for three weeks. (I’m so sad, you don’t have idea)
- Your family knows your web friends and their children.
- You heard something funny from the kid and think: I will do a layout about this.
- You scream in the shop where your layouts were pritten because they cut 1 millimiter of your layout.
- You think about fonts and colors all the time.

I just started selling my designs at a bunch of stores and realized I’m speaking a foreign language when I had to explain to a friend that yes, the stuff I make is “virtual” and had to explain to her why people would BUY? this stuff if it’s all digital and why do I do layouts on the computer and do I print them or what????
I actually thought everyone at least knew what digital scrapping was!!!
April 6th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
LOL, Oriana! I always take photos of the crazy things the kids do to scrap them, and then the kids get into trouble. LOL

“You know you’re a digiscrapper when…”
you see a layout in the gallery and you know who created it before looking at the name!
you rewind your dvr to see something that inspires you!
you have digi dreams of creating!
you wish that sometimes life had the ‘undo’ button!

This is sooo funny!!! And oh so true!! Love all the additional ones too from the comments!
April 7th, 2009 at 12:53 pm
I am cracking up at #14, Aja…I was thinking the same thing the other day!
How about when you meet someone from the same home town, and you know it is them just by seeing their children (lol)….I recognized her children right away from all of her layouts.
April 7th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
Thanks for the laugh, Aja et al.
What about?
You know you shouldn’t download another freebie onto an already overworked HD but you just can’t help yourself.
May 8th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
This is hilarious…
How about…
Your upset because in your rush to get out of your husbands burning pickup truck you forgot to get the camera off of the front seat. And it is in the inferno… This would make a great layout or two. (Unfortunately this happened to me, however, thank God for cameras on our cell phones…)
or…
While you are working on the books of a ministry you serve in, you have your downloads going. You know in town the connection is faster than at your house and what would take 10-12 hours at home to download only takes a couple in town.

Well so many of these things are so true!!!!!#3 and #8 are so true in my case….hehehehe…

Seeing that made my day! If the other articles are like this I’ll have to come back
June 12th, 2009 at 1:09 pm
I love this text. As seems to me in recent times. I,m addicted to Digital Scrapbook.
June 22nd, 2009 at 7:28 am
here’s one that’ll probably top these off…
1-You know ur a digi scrapper when you beg ur hubby to buy u a new computer, software and tablet to keep up with ur workflow, but he says “NO WAY” so you decide to go back to college, and use the financial aid to purchase those items (I told him I need it for school!) True story, i swear.. that’s how i got my laptop, my quadcore desk top, my intous 3, and full adobe software! lol! not to mention im learning new things at school!
2- whole point of going to school is to major in graphic design to be a better digi scrapper!
3- when ur teacher talks about lay out designs, you bust out with your gallery link to show her ur digi LO’s!
